Nov. 19 & 20 St. Mary's Gifts That Give Fair.
Fair Trade Barrie partnered with the Stephen Lewis, Grandmother and Grand Others, Ten Thousand Villages and other social justice groups in the annual two day gift fair at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Bob Jowett, Ingi Gould and Bruce Morton staffed the booth. Many thanks to Beck Johnson for organizing the event.

Nov. 10th, OSSTF Film Night
The local chapter of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF) organized a film night showing the documentary “The Dark Side of Chocolate”. Following the film, Fair Trade Barrie made a presentation on the status of the Fair Trade movement in 2016. The event was held at the MacLaren Art Centre. Many thanks to Angela Bosco and Eleanor Alexander for organizing this event.

June 4th, Celebrate Barrie on the Waterfront
Busy day with colouring exercises and handing out bananas, coffee and Cadbury Dairy Milk bars. Special thanks to Innisdale Secondary School volunteer Josh Varga. S. is pursuing Fair Trade School designation.
