Toronto becomes a Fair Trade City. On May 10th, 2013 Toronto officially became
the largest Fair Trade City in North America. The proclamation was signed by Mayor Rob Ford
and read by councillor Mike Layton during the flag raising at city hall.

Cadbury introduces Fair Trade Bubbly and Buttons. Cadbury has added two new Fair Trade products. Cadbury was the first major chocolate supplier to introduce Fair Trade products. The Dairy Milk bar became a Fair Trade product in 2009 and now
Bubbly and Buttons have been added to the list.
Canadian Fair Trade Network (CFTN) Conference. The second annual CFTN conference was held in Calgary, Jan. 10th and 11th. The new national organization includes representation from all regions of country. It's objective is to co-ordinate awareness and education programs across Canada.
